push notification

Hello!

 

It's my first time to deal with push notifications. I have some questions:

1. do I have to upload my app first (ex. Googleplay) before I can test push messages?

2. Why am I receiving this error User by the name '@userName' does not have any device registered

will this "pushService->RegisterDeviceToken(deviceToken, userName, deviceType, app42callback(Sample_Class::onPushRequestCompleted, this));" solve #2 ? and what should I put in deviceToken? can it be random generated characters? and should it be unique?

The exception message which you have shared  occurred when you have no device to send the message. Kindly have a look at the below links which will help you to register your device for push notification and let us know if it helps:
