Create document with MANUAL DocId

Question

Is that possible? I accidently deleted my online data and I want to upload all my local data again, but I want to keek the locally saved document ids...

'updateDocumentByDocId'  is not working with a not existing one... And 'insertJSONDocument' does not allow to set the document id manually...

Hello,

Doc Id is unique identifier for object saved on cloud. If you doc/object has been deleted, you cannot create another doc with same Id. All your data will remain same however doc id will be generated automatically and would be unique to stored object if you create it again.

This means if I store relational data and use the document id as foreign key I'm not able to create a backup and restore it somehow?

In that case you have to write the restore script accordingly to handle this scenario.
