Thanks for writing to us. This problem occurs when there is a connection problem due to which you are not able to connect to App42 Service.
To fix this you can handle this by checking connection first on client side while you are making a call to App42.

Meanwhile we have recorded the defect which will be fixed in our next release. We will handle the exception and throw exception if there is a connection problem.
