Connection Resiliency/Session handling in cloud API

Hi I am using the Leaderboard services in the cloud API from a java/scala web app.  I've noticed that sometimes, it gets into a state where all calls will fail, this can only be resolved by redoing the App42.initialize(), etc, which as currently implemented for me, involves restarting my app.  Is this 'normal' and is there some sort of reinitialize logic I should be implementing?

Can you explain the scenario where reinitialization is needed? In case of network issue you have to retry it however reinitialization does not require for it.
