You can pass the extra data in connectWithUserName(userName, extraData) API, you can pass json object as a String for this. On AppWarpS2 server side you can override handleAddUserRequest at ZoneAdapter level.

You can save the same data in a collection against a user. While other user connected you can share the same.

As Virtual User will be created inside a room w.r.to Zone it will be created. So it will be created inside RoomAdapter on server, in already created Zone and Room. So there is way to achieve the same by passing the data from iOS client side.

But you can pass other data like name and other extra Data from Client side for virtual User Creation on server. To achieve this you can define a function at RoomAdapter and call the same by calling RoomRPC API from client side w.r.to room.

    public String createVirtualUser(String virtualUserName) {
       IUser user = (IUser) new VirtualUser(virtualUserName, (Room) gameRoom,
               (Zone) iZone);
       gameRoom.addUser(user, true);
       return "success";
   }

Hi Robin,

You can custom code module to implement this. You can write a custom code which will be called from the app side when user clicks on register. You can required details needed for registration. In the custom code, you can write the validation code which you want to perform before registration. If user has a valid code you can call our User Service APi to create a new user and then return the response to the app.

The ABTest has two parts, one is traffic distribution and another is conversion. When you execute any test from client side, the server sends the variant applicable for this user as per the distribution you have created. Once client gets the variant name then you call goalAcheived when the user is really converted as per the app parameters.

The result is based on the goal achieved call. Suppose out of 100 users, 50 users called goal achieved for V1, 40 called for V2 and 10 called for V3 then the percentage of goal achieved will be 50% for V1, 40% for V2 and 10% for V3.

In the sample, the parameters which is null is fetched from the NSUserDefaults and printed. If this informations are not available in the same it will print null.

The above methods are called using the delegate instance in PWFacebookHelper class, so make sure this instance is not nil.

As a part of best practice, we always recommend having 2-3 KB of JSON document in Storage service. However, max size is 50 KB which is allowed in Storage service.

Could you please share sime more details like application logs at the time of Push notification send. Also please share the push logs which you can find under Unified Notification > Logs section . Please share these details, it will help us to debg the root cause of this issue.

Also, please let us know which sample plugin you are using and from where you are sinding the push notification.

P.S If you have not enable push logs, then please enable it through Settings section under App Manager.

As of now there is no direct way to fetch the list of device token from Push Notification service. You can manage it on Storage service, while registering your User for push insert your device token into Storage and fetch it back using our PHP SDK.

Hi,

You can not cancel an on-going request. But you can avoid this situation by creating a helper class(A singleton class) for handling App42 SDK requests. Every requests will originate from this class and response will be delivered to this class. When response comes to the helper class it can check for the scene existence and if scene exists then only pass the response to the scene.

Hi Anes,

If you want to see the uploaded tables then go with the second option (Given below) and use the MySQL commands.

--> By clicking on Bind IP List icon. You can bind your created service providing Source IP (IP of machine from where you want to access database). After that click on Details icon and use the credentials ( Public IP, VM Port, User Name, Password, Databse Name) to connect the service from your machine using your favorite client. Now you can execute all the MySQL commands( create tables etc.).

As soon as a user is removed, we also remove him from online users unless he is using connection resiliency. If Recovery Allowance was set, then server will keep that user as connected for the time being set in setRecoveryAllowance.

There is a method getLiveUserInfo() which can provide you details about a user. If a user is present, this method will provide you details in onGetLiveUserInfoDone callback. If a user was using connection resliency and was in recovering state, use isPaused method LiveUserInfoEvent to know if the user is paused or not. In case user is offline, getLiveUserInfo will return Resource not found error

You can send message in JSON format to your user which will be having additional details in it. For example, alert key will contain 'Hi I am admin' and event key will contain value 10. On recieving of this message you can show alert message to user and event key you can use inside your app.

If you are sending message in non english character, you have to just set encoding flag as true while sending this message. See here for details.

We looked into this issue and found out this problem comes up if you try to run undeployed custom code.

Please make sure that your scheduled custom code is not undeployed after scheduling it. If you undeploy it make sure you also cancel the scheduling.

We will also add this in our AppHQ console so that undeployed custom code can cancel all scheduled jobs along with it to avoid any confusion.

For setting an event first you need to create a Funnel in AppHQ management console and add event in that Funnel. For adding a funnel from AppHQ management console, follow the simple steps:

Login to your App42 Account
Click on Funnel Management tab
Click on Create Funnel button and submit the request after adding the funnel name as shown in the picture:

After adding the event in Funnel, you can call a setEvent function which take 2 input paramater which is event name and second is App42CallBack from API to set your funnel event.

Hi Brady,

ACL permission works on insert and update operations. If during the update operation, ACL list is encountered on server side, it updates the ACL permission too at the same time. If you have same ACL permission as the time of insert, this is not going to impact your doc.

Also, if you want to have global ACL permission for all your data, you can just call App42API.SetDefaultACL(aclList) on startup of the app. In this case you dont have to pass the ACL list in service reference. If you do so, service reference ACL will be used to set the permission overriding the value of global ACL.

Hi Brady,

If your user base is with facebook, it is not recommended to use App42 User Service in that case because your user auth and profile is managed by facebook. If you want to save additional profile info of fb user, you can use Storage Service (See this) and dump all these information right there in JSON object. You can use fbid of user as one of the key in the JSON object to tag user data. These information can be fetched back by applying query on it.

To update information of already created user, you can use CreateOrUpdateProfile function. If you want to add more information other than profile info then you can use addJSONObject function followed by CreateOrUpdateProfile function.

Yes the information you will save in user object will be saved in the form of json and you can access or modify it using storage service.
