Hello, I'd like to know what are trial subscription restriction? How many API calls can I do and so on. Also as I found out threre is some kind of indie subscription for non-comercial apps. I read indie subscription has 1 million API calls. I don't need a lot of API calls for my app, because it is just demo app, where I show some mechanics inclide cloud data storage with app42 services. And I need only one not large JSON file to store. What should I do to get indie subscription, or some kind of free subscription for non-comercial single app.

GetTopNRankersFromFacebook does not return friends' scores

I have setup several Test users via Facebook developer account. They are friends of each other. When I tried to get friends' scores using

. It only returns the user himself.

I have used

permission and linked user facebook account. Anything did I miss?

Upload Service (and Avatar Service) fail with null reference exception when uploading.

In my latest attempt I switched over to using the Upload Service for this one, but I tried previously with the Avatar Service and was fairly certain that it was the same error. I get a null reference exception however as near as I can tell none of the values being passed to the upload function are null (see debug values below).

Using Unity 3D and C#.

Importing questions as a json for a trivia game

I am new to this community and exploring options for a trivia app that iam working on. In the storage section I see an option to "Import" Json which iimports the json as a file and not as individual documents in the collection . My expectation is to import the json (with all the questions of the trivia game) so it gets added as documents (each json object) . Can this be achieved ? App42 Storage Service call not working from Button Click event.But working directly

When I call my Storage service be it insertJSONDocument or findDocumentById from my lua file which loads and call the DBService calls and it returns the results.

But same function when I call from a button click event in the same lua file the below error is displayed.

Certain Android devices cannot connect to AppWarp servers,Connection Error 5

For some reason, on my personal Android device, i can connect completely fine, and not get any connection error when using connectWithUsername(), but when i try to do it with another android device and my virtual device, it always gives me result code 5 Connection Error, when trying to use connectWithUsername.

My device which is able to connect is a Samsung galaxy j7 prime. Devices which wont work are a Samsung galaxy j7 pro and my virtual device which is a Pixel 2.

Thanks for your quick response, but still can not understand the implementation, sorry for the little expertise, I'm still a beginner.
I recently used another platform, Firebase. In it when registering a user in my application through email and password Firebase itself sent an email with a link and when the user opened his email and clicked on this link the account was validated and the application login was released.
From what you explained to me, I have to build this solution into my code, correct?
But how is the process of sending email at Apphq? Can this be automated?
Are there any tutorials for implementing this validation or an example app that can be used as a reference?

Yes, you can acheieve your obejective by implementing the custom logic in your app. You can store a token or signature related to that particular user in our storage service at the time of user registration process and pass that token in email of verification.

When the user will click on that token, validate it with stored token in storage service.

Rank facebook return wrong

A: Rank 1, score 5 (Update at 5 PM)

B: Rank 2, score 5 (Update at 4 PM)

Using GetTopNRankersFromFacebook () returns the result wrong

You can use Find Document By Query With Paging API of the storage Service, where you find the document using the custom query with paging.

In the case, if you have 150 records and you have to fetch all those records using this API, you can set the offset 0 and max 99 to fetch the first 100 records and after again set the offset 100 and max 149 to fetch another 50 records, repeat the process until you get fetch all the records.

-> For resetting a password, you can use our ResetUserPassword API where an automated email will be generated on your registered EmailId with a new random password and for changing the password, you can use Change Password API, Change the password for a user based on their username, only if the old password is valid.

Yes, It is possible through our GetTopNRankings API, this will give you the top N scores and it is possible that one user can fall in the list multiple times.

But GetTopNRankers will give you the top N Rankers(unique users). For example: If there are three users who have played the game and have scored as follows:

1. ABC 1000

2. EFG 999

3. EFG 998

4. BCD 997

4. EFG 222

100. EFG 20

Now, GetTopNRankings with N = 3 will give you ABC 1000, EFG 999, EFG 998, whereas GetTopNRankers for N=3 will give you ABC 1000, EFG 999,and BCD 997

Unicode and findDocumentsByQuery not possible?

My mobile app will be used in locales where user attributes, such as logins and aliases, will be in unicode. I need to be able to insert, update, and search for non-ASCII literals. What unicode support does your NoSQL have?

Of course I can base-64 it, but that would make it *UNSEARCHABLE*

If you don't have unicode support (why?), instead, I could convert all searchable fields in NoSQL to a string of character decimals. Ugly and heavy.

NoSQL.addOrUpdateKeys corrupting record and also clearing "Created On" and "Updated On" fields

PARTIAL SELF-ANSWER SEE MY SECOND COMMENT

Trying to update JSON on a record is accepting the update, but removing all but one of the original fields. Also, importantly, the "Created On" and "Updated On" fields are being set to blank!

The one field that remains of the original data happens to be first alphabetically. It would appear to me that the record is failing internally to the NoSQL service during the update, and no error is being raised. SEE MY COMMENT BELOW

Notice that only "alias" from the origianal record survived the addOrUpdateKeys. The update code is not special, as below:

Also very importantly, the "Created On" and "Updated On" fields are blank after the call to NoSQL.addOrUpdateKeys. See attached screenshot.

Hello kustardking, Yes you are right while searching for the text bin storage service you have to provide the first letter in case of using like operator. And it is only because of case sensitive search is supported in no SQL storage service. Case insitive search and in-between text search is not supported yet. Please have a look at Insert document with Geo Tag function in No-SQL storage service documentation and let us know if you have any concern.
