Importing questions as a json for a trivia game

I am new to this community and exploring options for a trivia app that iam working on. In the storage section I see an option to "Import" Json which iimports the json as a file and not as individual documents in the collection . My expectation is to import the json (with all the questions of the trivia game) so it gets added as documents (each json object) . Can this be achieved ? If not, what is the real purpose of Import option then ?

Certain Android devices cannot connect to AppWarp servers,Connection Error 5

For some reason, on my personal Android device, i can connect completely fine, and not get any connection error when using connectWithUsername(), but when i try to do it with another android device and my virtual device, it always gives me result code 5 Connection Error, when trying to use connectWithUsername.

My device which is able to connect is a Samsung galaxy j7 prime. Devices which wont work are a Samsung galaxy j7 pro and my virtual device which is a Pixel 2.

When the other player connects on the room , it doesnt load its assets it just showes him as a pink circle ?

1. How can reset / change user password by email id in UserService app42 cloud API?

-> For resetting a password, you can use our ResetUserPassword API where an automated email will be generated on your registered EmailId with a new random password and for changing the password, you can use Change Password API, Change the password for a user based on their username, only if the old password is valid.

2. I have forgot password feature in my app so how I can implement in Corona SDK using app42 cloud APIs or any other ways?

-> You can use our ResetUserPassword API.

3. If I use "Reset user password" API of app42 cloud so where I can get changed password?

-> An automated email will be generated on your registered EmailId with a new random password.

Unicode and findDocumentsByQuery not possible?

My mobile app will be used in locales where user attributes, such as logins and aliases, will be in unicode. I need to be able to insert, update, and search for non-ASCII literals. What unicode support does your NoSQL have?

Of course I can base-64 it, but that would make it *UNSEARCHABLE*

If you don't have unicode support (why?), instead, I could convert all searchable fields in NoSQL to a string of character decimals. Ugly and heavy.

NoSQL.addOrUpdateKeys corrupting record and also clearing "Created On" and "Updated On" fields

PARTIAL SELF-ANSWER SEE MY SECOND COMMENT

Trying to update JSON on a record is accepting the update, but removing all but one of the original fields. Also, importantly, the "Created On" and "Updated On" fields are being set to blank!

The one field that remains of the original data happens to be first alphabetically. It would appear to me that the record is failing internally to the NoSQL service during the update, and no error is being raised. SEE MY COMMENT BELOW

...now the corrupted record after NoSQL.addOrUpdateKeys:

Notice that only "alias" from the origianal record survived the addOrUpdateKeys. The update code is not special, as below:

Also very importantly, the "Created On" and "Updated On" fields are blank after the call to NoSQL.addOrUpdateKeys. See attached screenshot.

Hello kustardking, Yes you are right while searching for the text bin storage service you have to provide the first letter in case of using like operator. And it is only because of case sensitive search is supported in no SQL storage service. Case insitive search and in-between text search is not supported yet. I got it to run! So, here is the workaround:

Use JarJar https://github.com/shevek/jarjar and rename:

For IOS Moe also include in proguad:

Hi Harendera,

As of now updating value of a particular key is only available through docID. However, if you have the complete JSON with you then you can use UpdateDocWithQuery api in which the document will be founbd based on query and will be replaced with new document passed in the API.

If we understood correct that means, you are looking for the single session from multiple resources?

For example: If User A registered with his email id a@gmail.com using the username and password option and later on he wants to link his social account. And once he linked his account, he can login either using the username/password or using the social account.

Thread classes and Asynchronous API's are not allowed to use inside ucstom code. Werecommend you to change the API from Asynchronous mode to Synchronous mode. Regarding the solution for thread kind of script which you want to run, we would suggest you to use scheduling of custom code which run automatically your custom code after 1 minute.

To configure the same, please visit to custom code section of AppHQ Management Console and let us know if you still face any issue.

Hi,

If we are correct then you are getting the session id by using user/session service and the session which you are using is in invalidated. If you want to verify the session of the user on the server, then please use this method(http://api.shephertz.com/app42-docs/session-management-service/#get-session-create ) which will give the session id which exists on the backend,

Please have a look into it and let me know if you still face any issue.

Note: This error comes only when the session id is invalidated. By default, there is no expiry time on the server for session id.

Here are the way around to achieve your goal.

Creating JSON Request from class : You can create a method in your TourManager class that will create a Json from class members with respective keys if class contains array or array List you can use JSON Array for that.
Parsing Response From Json to class Object : Once you will receive response from custom code server, you can create another method in your TourManager that will generate class object with the help of your JSON response

Hi,

It depends on the game requirement but the recommended way is to only send data of an object if there is a change from its last shared state. You have to keep track of every object and if there is a change in any property which should reflect at other player's end then you should transfer the data. You may decide to send data instantly if there is a change or after certain time interval. You have to decide this based on the user experience and the cost of sending data.

Get All Achievements For User In Game API fetch all the achievement of the user in perticular Game not in App. The parameter which you are passing in this function is App name not Game name hence it returning error to you.
